Blackskith & Officer Robert Søren Cresten Nielsen & Mrs. Josefine Magdalene Nielsen took over the property in January 1916

800 years of architectural history!

Originally a chapel built in the 1200s by bricks. This building burned down, however, in the late 1300s, after which an enterprising person bought the remains and built two houses - a house on the west and separated by a narrow carriage house a forge to the east.

In 1555, takes a comprehensive refurbishment place - the two buildings made wider and higher, a part of the facades are now in hand, burnt bricks and arranged a very large basement kitchen furthest west, possibly because there were public priviledged inn.

1749 the forge & smithy was removed to a new, seperate building. A new open fire kitchen was fitted in the former smithy, and the basement kitchen to the west was abolished. Around 1795 the property is pretty dilapidated, and in connection with that, the straw roofs was replaced with thatched roofs, reinforced roof structure with an adapted trussed construction.

In the 1830s, there were made a series of major maintenance work, which moved around on some of the windows and doors, which suggests that the cottage now should be a residential house for the blacksmith.

In 1925 comes the porch next to the street when the family's oldest daughter was hit by tuberculosis and among other things should be restored by light and fresh air. 1928 hospitalized central wood-burning stove in the kitchen. 1961 the thatched roof was replaced by a modern cement sheets. 1971, the barn, the garage and the pigeon houses were demolished and removed. 1975 modernisation of the cottage with a new, extra bathroom, utility room and modern fitted kitchen. 2007 again a straw thatched roof was on the main house. The
smithy & forge stood virtually unchanged from 1749 until 1880, when the forge was changed to a double, coal fired  trestle with two different pits  and the chimney was renewed.

1919 was arranged a depot in the orchard - sadly reduced later on due to modern neighbors claim - to the northeast. 1922 included seizing shed with room for two horses at a time. Early in the 1920s fitted modern belt to pillar drill, grinding wheels and spring hammer. The old warehouse was carefully restored 2007.
